Since 2008, Jon Davis has been the Bomber's Speed and Strength coach.  There is no one better in the Northern CT/Western MA area than Jon and Chris and they are huge part of the Bomber's success.  Jon is now the owner of the Bomber's primary training facility: Powerhouse Training. 

Head Strength Coach: Jon Davis CSCS

Jon Davis holds a degree in Applied Exercise Science from Springfield college where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2006.  Jon is NSCA CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) certified.  Jon has been running his own performance/fitness business since 2006.  He is currently the strength and conditioning coach of the Western New England University baseball team in addition to the Dream Bat Bombers elite and youth level teams.  During the 2010/2011 season, Jon's first year at WNE, the  team qualified for the div. III national championship after winning the New England regional for the first time in program history, in addition to being ranked in the top 25,  also a first in the programs history.  Jon has worked with a diverse clientele ranging from professional athletes to little leaguers.  He is committed to continuing to bring top of the line results to athletes, helping them reach the next level.

As a player Jon starred at Cathedral HS in Springfield where he accumulated 25 wins and 310 strikeouts while leading his team to 3 straight WMASS div 1 finals appearances, 2 WMASS championships, and 1 state finals appearance, while garnering player of the year honors in 2002.  Davis went on to play his college ball under Mark Simeone at Springfield College, earning 2nd team All-New Mac conference during 05 and 06 while producing a 1.93 ERA as a senior with opponents hitting only .157 against him.  Davis also played 2 summers in the prestigious NECBL where he was one of the league's top closers in 2005; producing a 1.00 ERA.  Davis earned a professional baseball contract as the only player to sign out of the 2007 open tryout camp for the New Haven Cutters.  Davis has been working baseball camps and providing lessons since 2000.  He has also been coaching varsity and Junior varsity baseball for the past several years

Assistant Strength Coach: Chriss Ott 

Chris Ott has been training athletes for over four years.  For three of those four years he worked with Jon Davis as well as at the YMCA in Wilbraham, where Chris continues to serve as a personal trainer.  Chris holds his personal training license through AFAA and he also holds certifications in YMCA sports and Conditioning, AFAA Cycling instruction, and NYSCA coaching.  Chris has workedwith individuals of all ages and ability levels and currently works with close to 100 high school and college-aged athletes a week.  He has worked with athletes from nearly every sport.

As an athlete, Chris played hockey competitively for over seven years, during which time he played for a number of travel teams where he earned accolades for his performance on the ice.  He also played four years of football and three years of indoor/outdoor track at Minnechaug Regional High School.  Along with his personal training, Chris enjoys coaching at the youth level during his free time and has coached middle school football in Wilbraham for several years
